Check out the talent line up for our CQ Literary Festival 2018. We have award-winning author Pam Rushby, award-winning author Aleesah Darlison, popular author Richard Newsome, award-winning author Marianne de Pierres, script writer Ben Marshall and author and writing tutor, Elaine Ouston. But that's not all ... there are still more to come. The aim of the School Literary Festival is to encourage students to read, spark an interest in writing, and allow them to meet some of Australia's leading authors. Many options exist for you or your school to take part in this exciting event: A school festival: A full festival has up to 10 authors but you can choose how many you want. The cost per student depends on the number chosen. Pictured are some of the exciting line-up of authors committed to come to CQ for 2018. Many more are available. Full details of these authors are on our website. Author visits: If you want someone in particular to come to your school, let us know. If you don’t want a festival, you can choose to have one or more of our presenters come and work with your students. Open Day: Open Days are held at the North Street Annex in Rockhampton every year. This is an opportunity for schools to send selected students to a one day event. The students will have workshops with and mix with our presenters during the day. An Adult Writers' Retreat will also be held. More details will be released when the arrangements are in place. Check out the Festival's page for more information.
