Appraisals
Each attendee will have the opportunity to have an appraisal of their work-in-progress, if they have one, and an interview to discuss it at no extra cost.
Your appraisal will look for the things that will stop a publisher's editor from reading and accepting your manuscript and ways to improve it and make it shine. Prerequisite: Please send the first 10 pages of your manuscript for an appraisal by August 8th, with the booking form and program selection form, to elaine@austlitfest.com. Workshops
2+ days at a beachside paradise where you will be inspired and increase your knowledge by taking workshops with our experienced presenters.
The Retreat will be held at Cool Waters Holiday Village on the Capricorn Coast. You will spend time enjoying the lazy beach atmosphere, networking with other writers and your tutors, and learning what you need to succeed in this competitive industry. |

COOLWATERS HOLIDAY VILLAGE, CAPRICORN COAST, QLD: Nestled in a beautiful, tranquil setting between The Causeway Lake and Kinka Beach and surrounded by tropical bushland, this is the perfect place for a retreat.
When you are not busy feeding your mind with information, feed your soul with walks on the beach, swims in the pool, sea, or lake or take a walk on the tropical bushland walking trail. Accommodation is in comfortable cabins and all food is prepared and served in the dining room. The conference centre and second room are perfect for our workshops.
